Often an engagement ring was bought with a restricted, age related, budget. Whatever, it is a hugely emotional belonging but as life progresses it is possible to consider an upgrade or redesign, retaining the principle stones, and adding new. Below, we offer a couple of examples.
The central square cushion cut diamond (2.01 carats) is surrounded by double diamond set halos and stones set into the shoulders.
The emotional attachment is retained with the centre diamond with the double halos being replaced by a mix of pear and round cut natural diamonds.
Having sourced a selection of diamonds to match the quality of of main stone they were laid out on the design drawing.
The platinum mount was hand-made with all the diamonds claw set and produce a dazzling unique redesigned engagement ring.
The ring was mounted in 18 carat white gold, featuring 3 emerald cut diamonds surrounded by small round stones.
The customer really liked the original design and wished to retain the principle emerald cut diamond but increase the round diamond size and mount in platinum, so we prepared a hand painted design.
Having agreed the hand-drawn design, we felt the best way to make the ring was to create a CAD file, 3D print and the cast the ring into platinum, set the diamonds and polish.
The emerald cut diamonds are rub-over set with the round stones claw set within millegrain channel mounts.
